To divorce, you have to give certain reasons. In Canada, the law provides for 3 valid grounds for requesting a divorce: separation of the spouses for a year, adultery and physical or mental cruelty.
In some countries, some spouses give rather strange reasons for asking for a divorce. Judge for yourself!
- Not having changed your sentimental status on Facebook (India)
- Do not put your cup in the dishwasher (USA)
- Do not reply to a message from your spouse on Facebook messenger (Taiwan)
- Dislike Frozen (Japan)
- extramarital affair 60 years ago (Italy)
- Do not eat with cutlery (Kuwait)
In Quebec and Canada, these divorce requests would obviously not be accepted!
